Ayurveda Dincharya For The Prevention Of Life-Style Diseases.

"Lifestyle diseases" is much talked about and growing concern in today's world. If we look at number of people affected by it then after cancer , life style diseases is at no 2 threatening our very existence and a major challenge for medical field.

Now let us define the term Life-style diseases?

In our day living ,slew of wrong habits , irregular eating, sleeping habit collaborates with other factors of our day to day life such as pollution , stress full life , sedentary lifestyle which leads to imbalance of normal Tridosha physiology of our body thus creating negative impact on body & mind  ultimately resulting in diseases like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, severe constipation, atherosclerosis & if neglected even heart disease. We thus call them lifestyle diseases as following set of wrong lifestyle leads to it.
In Ayurveda, panchakarma & medicines are described to treat illnesses but along with that there is are some unique concepts which ca n be preventives for large set of diseases before they affect us.
Ayurveda in its literature has given detailed rituals or practices (Charya) that one should follow every day to establish the balance of TRIDOSHA in our body, which helps to regularize a person's biological clock and connect us to natures circadian rhythms. It also narrates the side effects if not followed in proper way. In Ayurveda we call it as Dincharya.
Day and night create a huge impact whether good or bad on tridosha constitution  & ayurveda has used this deep corelation for treating and also prevention of diseases.

The clock shows the relation of tridosha with Day & night :

So as we see  for the  normal functioning of tridosha the dincharya has to be followed by us in given way so that we can maintain the healthy balance of body and mind.

Dincharya is defined in two Parts - Morning and Post that , The detailed of the same is illustrated below.

Like this dinacharya aligns you with nature’s rhythms each day. For instance, exercising is most optimal in the morning, between 6am and 10am, when the body is in its kapha phase and is naturally physically strongest. Eating the largest meal of the day at lunchtime aligns with the pitta time of day, from 10am until 2pm, when the digestive fire is strongest. Between 2pm and 6pm, which is the vata time of day, the nervous system is most active, so it is beneficial during this time to do calming, concentrating activities such as mental work and meditation.

So this why Dincharya is important as it helps us to prevent ourselves from getting ill.
